Great American Phoenix

This two year project invites you to cozy up in the nest of the Great American Phoenix.

In year one, the Phoenix will be roaming the skies while we secure the nest. You are invited to ride away with us across the playa on a maiden voyage into the unknown.

We have hand carved a thousand recovered branches and they create the nest. Over 5,000 programmable LEDs cast the nest and surrounding area in a rainbow of brilliant light.

Once the she returns to Washington, DC, she will fly the streets of the capital. In year two, the Phoenix will rise and set the night aflame. Come back for more news in 2026, ‘27, and beyond.
